How they are made

The pins are made when a design is cut and stamped onto a sheet of copper. Next, the platting is done in your choice of gold, silver or nickel. The colors are then added by hand and fired at temperatures of over 400 degrees. The finished pin is very brilliant in color. You may choose to have an epoxy covering added to the pin to give it a glossy shine and keep the colors from fading or cracking over time.

For budget considerations, iron metal can be used instead of copper. Polishing is not possible with iron metal but a significant number of platings are available
